"The maltese merchant fleet of the 19th century"

In November 2007, 7 years of work, research and sleepless nights, came to fruition.  I launched a book titled "The maltese merchant fleet of the 19th century".  The aim of this book was not to re-write history or describe again the Maltese Islands' maritime history. It was aimed at increasing the information available to the reader about the mercantile fleet in Malta and its activities.  Many books have been written about the naval fleet of the Order of St. John and the Royal British Navy.  But few about the Maltese merchants.  I wanted this book to be a reference work to those who are already familiar with Malta's maritime history.  It is a mine of information about sea vessels in the 19th century, their builders, information about registration, tonnage, commissioners, contracts and costs of each mercantile vessel.  This book is available for sale online - Buy it HereMore information about the book.
